The best performers win MBA

In Greece, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the best participants of the Global Management Challenge receive the top training opportunity for their performance.

Today, more effective training can make a difference in each team’s performance in the business marketplace. Aware of this reality, the local organization of the Global Management Challenge (GMC) in Greece, Czech Republic and Slovakia offer to young people with the better performance in the competition, the opportunity to attend an MBA. Top training, is important for their future professional life.

In this Portuguese strategy and management competition, executives and students have to manage a company with the aim of achieving the best outcome. With an MBA, the team members are also given the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding in the areas of business management.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia the team members that win the national final of the competition will have the opportunity to attend an MBA. «We are talking here about the MBA program of the City University of Seattle, that can be studied in the business schools in Prague and Bratislava. It is a reward that develops knowledge», says Petr Budinsky, responsible for organizing the GMC competition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He believes that the current business world requires flexibility, creativity and instinct for decision-making. By participating in the Global Management Challenge, students and executives “are given the opportunity to learn to work in a team and understand how to manage an enterprise” points out Petr Budinsky.

In Greece the reality is a little different. Here only one member of the team that reaches the national finals will receive a scholarship to join an MBA program. Victoria Maherianaki, organizer of the Global Management Challenge in Greece, says: “the scholarship is offered by the Athens University of Economics and Business, for the frequency of its International MBA program. This program has prerequisites and it is the University which makes the selection of members from teams that reach the national final “. For Greek participants it is important to achieve this distinction, since this MBA program has great reputation inside and outside the country. «It is a valuable experience for all the participants ‘, stresses Victoria Maherianaki.

Both in Greece, as in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the Global Management Challenge has been growing and gaining prestige. The next international competition final, scheduled for April this year, will have teams from these three countries.
