First Mozambican edition

The first edition of the Global Management Challenge in Mozambique begins in June. Júlio Peixe and Álvaro Silveira, local organizers of the competition, expect to have about 60 teams this debut edition.
“The business managers and university students we spoke to value the great contribution that the Global Management Challenge can make to the development of the competence and skills of staff and students, in terms of managerial analysis, decision making and strategy, and also in terms of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership and conflict management” say the organizers. They believe that these are important aspects in preparing Mozambican human resources for an economy that is open to the outside and where competitiveness is a key element.
At this time Júlio Peixe and Álvaro Silveira have already established partnership agreements with the Eduardo Mondlane University, the Technical University of Mozambique, the Higher Institute of Science and Technology of Mozambique and the Institute of Transport and Communications and also with several companies in the financial and telecommunications areas among others. The Soico Group will be its media partner and they have established a partnership with the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises to allow SMEs to benefit from the Global Management Challenge.
“In Mozambique there are all conditions to embrace innovative projects such as the Global Management Challenge, they are useful to their progress, adding economic value” concluded the organizers.
