Brasil and Mexico represented by executives

These two countries of Latin America will be represented by teams of executives in the international final.

The competition is currently a success in Brazil and in Mexico. The first country featured 512 teams in this edition of 2012 and Mexico entered 128 teams. In both national finals were teams of executives winning and will now represent these two countries internationally.

The Brazilian team is formed by two engineers, being the remaining members from economy, advertising and information technologies. Marcelo Egéa, organizer of the Global Management Challenge in Brazil, is convinced that his country will be very well represented and has great chances to win the international title. In the latest international final Brazil was placed fourth, their best performance registered so far.

In Brazil this Portuguese competition has been very well received over the years. Marcelo Egéa believes that the Global Management Challenge is passing the message that learning to lead a business can make the difference between having success or not, regardless of the training area of the participant.

Unlike Brazil, where the competition began in 1981, Mexico developed the competition, 18 years ago, since 1995. Also,  in this country,  the Global Management Challenge has been growing. «It is seen as a prestigious event that promotes networking, helps to consolidate leadership capabilities, being an instrument of curriculum value that only the best students and academics have access to», explains Carlos Farcung, organizer of the competition in Mexico. So much, that several business schools in the country have decided to integrate this simulation in their academic programs.

As in Brazil, Mexico will also be represented in the 2012 final by an international team of executives. This time the team is formed by two civil engineers, an architect and a manager. Carlos Farcung’s  expectation is that they will represent the country well; the team that represented Mexico in 2011 was eighth, the highest place so far achieved by Mexico.
